The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

Design Contest WIN 4000 POINTS, 20$ AND MORE!I've wanted to hold a design contest for a long time now, and finally I've gathered enough points to do it

What I'm looking for:
Everything! Wolves, foxes, fennec foxes, ferrets, servals, bobcats, tigers, other big cats, small cats, deers, dragons, gryphons, dogs, birds, hybrids, original species.. bring it!
I'm leaving the details to your imagination, but here are some things I really like:
-White base color with black and red markings<33 (mostly on canines)
-Cute and fluffy things! No need to go all big eyes and oversized heads, but animals with fur. Creepy and slimy things just aren't my thing.. Still don't be afraid to make something dark/evil
-Anything tribal
-Native american stuff
-Feathers!
-Tawny, golden, brown, white, red, blue, cyan, gray, black (well, not all combined)
-I like more natural base colors, but with smaller markings in unnatural colors like blue or red
-Long tails, big/long

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

8th grade year in Middle School is supposed to be "the worst year of your life" or "the best year of your life." Let's see how much you remember.

1. Who was your best friend?
Geli [who is still one today] and Alyssa [who fell off the planet into popularity and parties]

2. What sports did you play?
none.

3. Did you bring or buy your lunch?
depended on what the hell hot lunch was; sometimes it was edible, sometimes it was not. usually brought though.

4. It's Friday night, where were you?
AIM. lot's of AIM.

5. Did you get in a lot of trouble
for rubbing paint on a pole, for Geli saying “oh my god!” x2, and prolly for other randomly retarded things coz Mrs. Dixon hated me.

6. Were you in the "In Crowd"?
yeah, actually.

7. Ever skip school?
no, me and Geli used to do tarot readings in the bathroom at recess and lunch though.

8. Did you have a boyfriend?
yeah, me and Joe “dated”. this included standing near each other and he made me a CD.

9. Were you a nerd?
sure, but I hung out with everyone.

10. Did you get suspended/expelled?
nope.

11. Can you sing the alma mater?
I don't think the most holy rosary had one.

12. Who was your favorite teacher?
prolly Swanny AKA Mr. Swanson. “MAKING UP FOR LOST TIIIIIIIME.”

13. Favorite class?
I didn’t have one. I hated HRS by that point.

15. School mascot?
the trojans. You can laugh now.

16. Did you go to the dances?
yep.

17. Which of your friends do you miss the most?
uhhh…Geli coz I don’t see her as often, but I still see her, but yeah. that’s really it.

18. Did you ever trip/fall in the hallway?
no.

19. Favorite memory of your 8th grade year?
the randomness collection desk and when Geli was sucking on her lip-gloss and the ball came out and she fell backwards onto my backpack.

20. Did you fail any classes?
nope.

21. Did you ever cheat on any test/quizzes?
I don’t think so…I highly doubt it.

22. Where did you go most often for lunch?
the cafeteria, then when we went outside it was one of three places: The Spot, The Curb, or The Tree [which they cut down. cut down like my childhood.]

23. Did you cry at graduation?
only after I read Nug Nug’s letter telling me how much she was gonna miss me…I miss that kid…

24. was 8th grade year good bad or horrible?
I’m apathetic to it. I guess.
